MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday welcomed an official delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during a courtesy call at Malacañan Palace, reaffirming the strong partnership between the two nations.
The delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange Abdulla Nasser Lootah, who is in the Philippines from September 16 to 18 to participate in the Philippines-UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum.
President Marcos expressed his appreciation to the UAE government for its continued support of Filipino workers and for fostering mutually beneficial collaborations with the Philippines.
Deputy Minister Lootah, joined by UAE Ambassador to the Philippines Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi and other UAE officials, conveyed the UAE’s intent to further strengthen bilateral relations, emphasizing the strategic importance of the partnership.
The Philippines-UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum, organized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, aims to enhance government capacity in both countries by sharing best practices and innovations in governance to achieve a future-ready, innovative public sector.
