The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) officially opened its booth at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, offering affordable and high-quality publications for teachers, students, researchers, and readers interested in grammar, classic works, translations, research, dictionaries, and literary pieces.
Leading the opening were KWF Chairperson Atty. Marites A. Barrios-Taran, along with Full-time Commissioners Dr. Carmelita C. Abdurahman and Dr. Benjamin M. Mendillo Jr. Also present were Commissioner Reggie O. Cruz, Executive Assistant Marian Regina B. Taran, and other KWF staff members who showed strong support for the agency’s participation in this year’s fair.
KWF’s wide selection of titles received warm reception from attendees, reflecting the public’s continued support for the agency’s mandate to promote a culture of reading, particularly through works in Filipino and other Philippine languages.
The public is invited to visit the KWF booth at spaces 095 and 096 on the 2nd floor of the SMX Convention Center. The booth will remain open until September 14, 2025, for those interested in purchasing books and joining the celebration of Philippine languages and literature.
