HONOR Philippines has confirmed through a Facebook post that it will officially launch the HONOR Magic V5 in the country on September 5, 2025. The foldable device will be offered exclusively in partnership with Globe.
The Magic V5 boasts an ultra-slim design, measuring 4.1mm thin in Ivory White and 4.2mm in other color options when unfolded. Despite its slim profile, it houses a 5,820mAh battery, which is notably larger than the 4,400mAh battery found in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Both devices, however, share the same unfolded thickness of 4.2mm.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The foldable features a 7.95-inch OLED inner display and a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED cover display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens are reinforced with HONOR’s Nano Crystal Shield and Super Armored Glass for durability.
For cameras, the Magic V5 comes equipped with a 50MP main sensor (f/1.6, OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide (f/2.0), and a 64MP telephoto lens (f/2.5, 3x optical zoom, laser AF) at the rear. Both the inner and cover displays have 20MP selfie cameras.
Other key features include stereo speakers, dual nano-SIM support, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, an IR blaster, and USB Type-C. It runs on MagicOS 9 (based on Android 15) and comes with IP58 and IP59 water and dust resistance ratings.
Charging options include 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
The device weighs 222g (217g for Ivory White) and measures 156.8 x 145.9 x 4.1mm when unfolded and 156.8 x 74.3 x 8.8mm when folded. Color options include Black, Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown, and Ivory White.
