Must read

Cupertino, California — Apple today introduced iPhone Air, the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever created, combining pro-level performance with an innovative new design. At just 5.6mm thin, iPhone Air features a precision-engineered grade 5 titanium frame, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front, and Ceramic Shield protection on the back — making it more durable than any previous iPhone.

The 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz delivers stunning visuals, while peak outdoor brightness of 3000 nits ensures clarity even in direct sunlight. The design also incorporates a new plateau structure that houses Apple silicon, the camera system, and speakers while maximizing space for a larger battery, enabling remarkable all-day battery life.

“The all-new iPhone Air is so powerful, yet impossibly thin and light, that you really have to hold it to believe it’s real,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. “This leap in design and engineering delivers advanced features our users will love — from pro performance and all-day battery life to an innovative camera system — all in a breakthrough design that feels like holding the future.”

Powered by the A19 Pro chip, along with the new N1 wireless networking chip and C1X cellular modem, iPhone Air is Apple’s most power-efficient iPhone to date. The A19 Pro features the fastest CPU in any smartphone and next-level graphics performance, while N1 supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. C1X doubles the speed of the previous generation modem while using 30 percent less energy.

iPhone Air introduces an advanced 48MP Fusion Main camera that delivers the equivalent of four lenses, along with a new 18MP Center Stage front camera that automatically adjusts for group selfies and offers simultaneous Dual Capture with both front and rear cameras. Users can record in 4K60 Dolby Vision HDR with Spatial Audio, while features like Focus Control and an updated Photonic Engine enhance portraits, low-light photography, and video stabilization.

As part of Apple’s commitment to sustainability, iPhone Air is manufactured with 35 percent recycled content, including 80 percent recycled titanium and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. The device features a 3D-printed titanium USB-C port that uses 33 percent less material, and its packaging is fully fiber-based and recyclable. iPhone Air is built to be durable, repairable, and energy-efficient, advancing Apple’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality across its products by 2030.
