CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA — Apple today introduced AirPods Pro 3, the latest generation of the world’s most popular wireless headphones, delivering a redesigned fit, dramatically improved sound, next-level Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), fitness tracking with built-in heart rate sensing, and Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence.
AirPods Pro 3 remove up to 2x more noise than AirPods Pro 2, and 4x more than the original AirPods Pro, offering the best in-ear ANC available. The refined design improves stability and comfort across activities, from running and HIIT to yoga. For the first time, users can measure heart rate and track more than 50 workout types directly in the Fitness app on iPhone. Live Translation also debuts on AirPods, enabling seamless, real-time conversations across multiple languages.
Customers can pre-order AirPods Pro 3 today, with availability beginning Friday, September 19. The new model is priced at $249 (U.S.).
Superior Audio and Noise Cancellation
A new multiport acoustic architecture enhances bass response, widens the soundstage, and delivers vivid clarity for music, shows, and calls. Next-gen Adaptive EQ ensures a personalized listening experience, while ultra-low-noise microphones, advanced computational audio, and foam-infused ear tips deliver the best ANC of any in-ear wireless headphones. With ANC enabled, AirPods Pro 3 provide up to eight hours of playback, a 33% increase over the previous generation.
Redesigned for Comfort and Durability
Informed by 10,000 ear scans and 100,000 hours of research, AirPods Pro 3 offer Apple’s most secure fit yet. A re-engineered internal structure makes each AirPod smaller, while a new five-size ear tip range — including XXS — ensures comfort for more users. With IP57 sweat and water resistance, AirPods Pro 3 are built for demanding workouts and everyday use.
Fitness and Heart Rate Tracking
Featuring Apple’s smallest custom-built PPG sensor, AirPods Pro 3 measure heart rate with precision during workouts. Paired with iPhone, users can track calories, close Move rings, and access Workout Buddy, a motivational AI-powered coaching tool. Apple Fitness+ subscribers also see real-time metrics onscreen, including heart rate and calorie burn.
Live Translation Powered by Apple Intelligence
AirPods Pro 3 debut hands-free Live Translation, making it easier to connect across languages. Available initially in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, the feature expands later this year to Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. With iPhone as a companion display, conversations can be transcribed and translated in real time, enhancing travel, work, and social interactions.
Hearing Health and Battery Life
Building on Apple’s hearing health features, AirPods Pro 3 offer automatic Conversation Boost, improved hearing tests, and up to 10 hours of battery life in Transparency mode — a 67% increase. Hearing Protection is also rolling out to EU and UK users following certification.
Designed with the Environment in Mind
AirPods Pro 3 support Apple’s 2030 carbon-neutral plan, made with 40% recycled content, including 100% recycled cobalt in the battery and 65% recycled plastic in the case. Packaging is 100% fiber-based and recyclable, while manufacturing uses 40% renewable electricity.
