Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 17, marking a major shift in its lineup as the company drops the “Plus” variant this year.

The iPhone 17 sports a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion up to 120Hz, slimmer bezels, and a tougher Ceramic Shield front cover for better scratch resistance. Brightness now reaches up to 3,000 nits, with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.
For cameras, Apple introduces an 18MP Center Stage front sensor capable of landscape selfies and AI-powered framing. At the rear, the device features a 48MP Dual Fusion system with main and ultra-wide lenses protected by a sapphire crystal cover.

Powering the new iPhone is the A19 chip, built on 3nm technology, featuring a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Apple promises faster performance, enhanced efficiency, and up to 30 hours of video playback. Fast charging is supported via a 40W adapter, with 50% charge in 20 minutes.
The iPhone 17 starts with 256GB of storage and comes in five colors: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white. Pre-orders begin September 12, with availability on September 19 in select markets.
In the Philippines, the 256GB model is priced at ₱57,990, while the 512GB version will cost ₱72,990. Local pre-orders are expected to open in October.
